BA (Hons) Economics - this is a new pluralistic course currently in its first year of operation. The course teaches a range of economic theories, models and covers a wide range of pluralistic perspectives. It has a theme running through the course in History of Economic Thought and Critical Perspectives in Economics and also allows students to study other subjects such as a Language, Politics or Business throughout the degree programme.

Year one modules: History of Economic Thought I, Microeconomic Principles, Thinking like an Economist, Macroeconomic Principles, Quantitative Analysis for Economics and Finance, Option module from subjects outside Economics including studying a language or politics or business modules

Year two modules: Economics Methods and Analysis, Microeconomics Theory and Policy, Macroeconomics and Policy, The History of Economic Thought II, either International Economics or Labour Economics plus an option from Languages, Politics or Business

Year three modules: Industrial Organisation, Public and Social Welfare Economics, Critical Perspectives in Economics, Researching Topics in Economics, The Economics of Sustainable Development, an option from Languages, Politics or Business
